Kimberly Hudson- Interim Executive Director
Kimberly Hudson brings two decades of experience in nonprofit leadership, strategic communications, and event management to her role as Interim Executive Director of DSANV. She has served on the DSANV Board of Directors for five years, including three years as Treasurer and two years as Board President.
As Founder and Creative Director of Claritas Creative, a certified Economically Disadvantaged Woman-Owned Small Business, Kimberly partners with mission-driven organizations to design strategic communications campaigns and high-impact events. She has personally written, won, and delivered more than $385,000 in state-level nonprofit grants and managed the execution of over a dozen federally funded events, with budgets spanning $200,000 to over $1 million. She also previously directed a statewide grassroots disability advocacy coalition in Georgia, advancing legislative action and community engagement. Her work emphasizes accessibility, multilingual outreach, and grassroots engagement, with projects ranging from COVID-19 vaccine education for the disability community to statewide advocacy days and national health summits featuring top leaders.
Beyond DSANV, Kimberly serves on the Board of Directors of The Arc of Virginia and advocates regularly on Capitol Hill. She previously served as an ABLEnow Ambassador and as Vice President of the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Parent Advisory Council at Georgetown University Hospital.
Kimberly holds a Master of Fine Arts in Communications and Design. She lives in Arlington, Virginia, with her husband Burt, their two children, Jack and James, and their beagle, Amelia.
