Dana Laukhuf - Regional Engagement Coordinator - Loudoun

Dana is a lifelong advocate for those with congenital heart disease; she started to advocate at the age of five. She grew up in Connecticut and moved with her husband to Loudoun County to start their family over 15 years ago.  A devoted mother of three, blessed with the opportunity to stay home and raise her children including her son Henry, Liam and her daughter Emma.  Dana and her family remain active in CHD awareness, as all three of her children have heart disease in addition to herself.  Nine years ago, their family was blessed with their daughter Emma who also has down syndrome.  The family enjoys welcoming new and expectant parents as well as creating a large social group for Emma and her friends.  Dana is joining the DSANV team to elevate her commitment to inclusion, friendship, and community throughout the region.

Dana studied and worked in marketing for years but now enjoys being a part time substitute for the special needs’ programs in Loudoun County Public Schools.
