A Night to Remember: Celebrating World Down Syndrome Day Together 💙💛

What an unforgettable celebration of community, connection, and inclusion! Our World Down Syndrome Day (WDSD) Extravaganza was truly one for the books, bringing together individuals with Down syndrome, families, friends, and supporters for a night filled with joy, energy, and meaningful moments.

From the moment the doors opened, the excitement was undeniable. With more than 450 attendees joining us, the room was filled with laughter, music, and a shared sense of belonging. Our 100 self-advocates were at the heart of it all - dancing, connecting, and celebrating in a space designed to honor who they are and all they bring to our community.

The evening showcased so many incredible elements that made the event special. Our Made With Heart vendors shared their creativity and talents, offering handmade goods that reflected passion and pride. Our exhibitors brought valuable resources and connections to families, while our performers lit up the stage and kept the energy high throughout the night. Every detail contributed to an atmosphere that was both celebratory and deeply meaningful.

Beyond the fun and festivities, the impact of the evening was powerful. Thanks to the generosity of our community, we raised $25,000 to support DSANV programs and services. These funds help provide opportunities for individuals with Down syndrome to build independence, form friendships, and thrive in all aspects of life.

This event would not have been possible without the support of our 80 donors and 15 sponsors, whose commitment to inclusion helps bring our mission to life. We are also incredibly grateful to the volunteers, vendors, performers, and families who showed up and made the night so special.

World Down Syndrome Day is a time to celebrate, raise awareness, and advocate for a more inclusive world - and this year, our community showed exactly what that looks like in action.

Thank you for being part of this incredible celebration. We can’t wait to do it all again next year!
