In 2011, DSANV launched a Dads Appreciating Down Syndrome group. The purpose of D.A.D.S is to assist and support, through fellowship and action, the fathers and families of individuals with Down syndrome.

Veteran and new fathers of children with Down syndrome are invited to the Northern Virginia (DSANV) chapter of Dads Appreciating Down Syndrome (D.A.D.S.) We meet monthly from 7:00 to 9:00 PM on the third Thursday of most months at the Church of Saint Clement, located at 1701 North Quaker Lane in Alexandria, Virginia 22302 (Map Link). Other months we celebrate with a whole family event on the weekend. Contact the local coordinator, Rich Westhoff by email for more information or to RSVP.

Dear Dads of children with Down's Syndrome:

We have no plans for a meeting in April, because it falls during spring break.  Those in town may want to assemble an impromptu meeting, but neither Michael nor I will be there to host.

Our next (and possibly last) meeting of the 2018-2019 school year will be May 16th.  A venue for that gathering has not yet been determined.

Please let me (gbuzby@aol..comand Michael ( know, if you have any questions.

Please also join us on Facebook and check out the DADS national website.
