In 2011, DSANV launched a Dads Appreciating Down Syndrome group. The purpose of D.A.D.S is to assist and support, through fellowship and action, the fathers and families of individuals with Down syndrome.
Veteran and new fathers of children with Down syndrome are invited to the Northern Virginia (DSANV) chapter of Dads Appreciating Down Syndrome (D.A.D.S.) We meet monthly from 7:00 to 9:00 PM on the third Thursday of most months at the Church of Saint Clement, located at 1701 North Quaker Lane in Alexandria, Virginia 22302 (Map Link). Other months we celebrate with a whole family event on the weekend. Contact the local coordinator, Rich Westhoff by email DADS@dsanv.org for more information or to RSVP.
Our most excellent group will hold its DADs (West) tonight at 7:00 at Meeting Room “B” for May 30th at Gum Spring Library in Stone Ridge. The address for Gum Spring is:
24600 Millstream Drive
Stone Ridge, VA 20105
Please note that “This meeting is not sponsored by Loudoun County Public Library.” Please RSVP Bill at firstname.lastname@example.org for a headcount for the meeting.
Attendance has been low at our last two DADS (West) meetings, so please join us.
Please note that a summer picnic is in the works for June 16th, so please mark that date. More information to come!
