Whether you are just starting to think about legal and financial planning for your loved one with special needs or already have plans in place, it is important to understand the unique challenges families with special needs members face. This workshop will give a generalized overview of legal and financial planning as it relates to different life stages. Understanding of critical benefits and legal instruments can help ensure the life you envision for your loved one with disabilities and special needs. Stay updated on the many changes that have taken place in rules and laws that may impact your planning. There will also be time for Q & A.

Topics to be discussed: Wills, Medical Directives, Durable Financial Powers of Attorney, Special Needs Trusts, Guardianships, Letters of Intent, Entitlement Programs, Means Tested Programs, Impact of Employer Benefits, Medicare and Medicaid, ABLE Accounts, and more
