In 2011, DSANV launched a Dads Appreciating Down Syndrome group. The purpose of D.A.D.S is to assist and support, through fellowship and action, the fathers and families of individuals with Down syndrome.
Veteran and new fathers of children with Down syndrome are invited to the Northern Virginia (DSANV) chapter of Dads Appreciating Down Syndrome (D.A.D.S.) We meet monthly from 7:00 to 9:00 PM on the third Thursday of most months at the Church of Saint Clement, located at 1701 North Quaker Lane in Alexandria, Virginia 22302 (Map Link). Other months we celebrate with a whole family event on the weekend. Contact the local coordinator, Rich Westhoff by email DADS@dsanv.org for more information or to RSVP.
The East meeting will be held on January 18th at 7:00 p.m. at the church hall at the Church of St. lement, 1701 N. Quaker Lane, Alexandria, VA.
The West meeting has yet to be finalized, but will be held on January 31st.
Please let me (firstname.lastname@example.org) know if you will be participating. There will be an abundance of good food, conversation, and helpful insights offered. Also please let me know, if you would like to be added or deleted from this list.
Please also join us on Facebook and check out the DADS national website.
